Screen Plane finished the shooting of the Kraftwerk 2013 concerts with the shows in Eindhoven in October.
Kraftwerk choosed the Evoluon as the location for these concerts.

The Evoluon is a conference centre and former science museum erected by the electronics and electrical company Philips in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, in 1966. Since its construction, it has become a landmark and a symbol for the city. The building designed by architect Louis Christiaan Kalff is unique due to its very futuristic design, resembling a landed flying saucer.

After filming the background 3D footage in 2011, Screen Plane shot a series of concerts in the Duesseldorf K20 Kunstsammlung and five concerts in London’s Tate Modern in the amazing Turbine Hall in the beginning of 2013.
The project was challenging because the concerts include a 3D projection thru the entire show, which had to be maintained during filming. It’s the first project we know of, filming 3D in 3D.

I was the stereographer on the Eindhoven Shows, we shot on Alexa cameras with Angenieux zoom 16-42 mm on the Production Rig.

Screen Plane provided two Production Rigs, one for extreme slow motion shots, equipped with Phantom Flex cameras for framerates up to 1500 fps. Both rigs were equipped with Angenieux zoom lenses.

For details of the clothes and applications Screen Plane´s new Ultra Macro 3D Camera was used as well.

The film is introducing the new collection of Adidas for the next season as well as the new outfits for the soccer worldcup in Brazil next year.

‚The Girl from Nagasaki‘ is a 3D feature film production of the classic Puccini opera ‚Madame Butterfly‘ directed by world renown photographer Michel Comte.
By a subtle meshing of reality and fantasy Michel Comte and his team will bring to the screen a visual orgy of modern ballet, opera and narrative filmmaking. Performed by an iconic cast, we are blessed to be joined by Polina Semionova, the world-renowned ballerina, in the role of Madame Butterfly’s alter-ego. In our rendering we present the compelling story of a beautiful and innocent woman’s love for a man whose narcissism ultimately leads to tragedy. Yet it is also an allegory for redemption; for in the moment of Madame Butterfly’s death we move beyond the concept of finality into the unknowable bliss of what could be. In so doing we recognize that life is experienced through a range of emotions only to be transcended, and thus surrendered to, when love is ultimately chosen above all else.

Measuring the world
In January 2012 we finished the shooting of „Measuring the world“ in Ecuador, the new film of Detlev Buck, produced by Boje Buck Produktion and Lotus Film.
An imaginative comedy about Alexander von Humboldt, who traveled the world to survey it, and Carl Friedrich Gauß, who stayed at home to discover it through his calculations; about two entirely different ways to experience and understand the world; and about the one and only thing these two great minds had in common: insatiable curiosity.

prod: Boje Buck Produktion and Lotus Film
cast: Albrecht Schuch, Florian David Fitz, Karl Markovics, Katharina Thalbach, Sophie Rois, David Kross, Anna Unterberger, Georg Friedrich

„The three rigs we had on the film, were absolutely reliable, even under extreme conditions in the heat of jungle of Ecuador or the cold Winter of Austria/Germany. I really liked how fast they were aligned and setup. Otherwise we would have not been able to complete such a complex historical drama in only 31 shooting days.“

Their new concerts combine 3D projections with the live music and are promoted as 3D concerts.

While most of the material are computer generated graphics, Screen Plane shot the live action parts for the show in 3D on a Production Rig with 2 Red cameras.

On this short film – produced by Cinepost Production in Hamburg – i was working as a stereographer.

A very special stereo 3D project has been initiated by CinePostproduction Atlantik Film Hamburg. The twelve-minute mystery thriller „Dazwischen“ was shot on seven days of filming under the joint aegis of Jens Fischer and producer Katharina Rinderle. During this time the film team were able to test in practice the special requirements made of the dramaturgical narrative, pre-production and work on the set.

The director was CinePostproduction employee Stjepan Marina who was also responsible for the screenplay. Stjepan Marina has already collaborated in a number of short films and this is his first stereo 3D project. Karolin Peiter and Alexander Wüst starred in the main roles. „The film visualises an extreme human experience and for me its intensity could be put across most spectacularly in 3D,“ says Stjepan Marina.
